1. Our [**Keyoxide profile**](https://keyoxide.org/647501bc9eb15d88fcb5747f04729e58c6565dfd) is now live. It verifies our presence across platforms with [our OpenPGP key](https://keys.openpgp.org/vks/v1/by-fingerprint/647501BC9EB15D88FCB5747F04729E58C6565DFD), which may also sign blog posts to confirm their integrity. Note: Git repo updates will still use individual PGP keys for simplicity.
2. We've moved our fediverse account. Follow our Fediverse account at **`@mirror@starset.fans`** for the latest updates.
3. Due to recent API changes on Twitter/X, we're experiencing issues with timeline synchronization. To keep up with STARSET's Twitter updates, we suggest utilizing bird.makeup or similar bridge services.

It's been a while since we last posted an update about the STARSET Wiki. One reason for the radio silence is that our main editors have been busy with other life commitments. But don't worry, we haven't been idle over the past year. We've been hard at work translating all STARSET songs into Simplified Chinese—the primary language of our Wiki. Translating between English and Chinese can be tricky, as they are from different language families, which often requires extra adjustments. However, this process has given us a deeper understanding of STARSET's central themes and messages, which we believe will greatly enrich our Wiki entries.
We've also updated the guidance on our [Roadmap page](https://starset.wiki/en/roadmap) on how to check the project's progress. Specifically, we're using Forgejo issues to manage and track the development of individual entries. You can freely view the progress of established entries on the [project kanban](https://git.owu.one/starset-mirror/-/projects/1). If you want to suggest new entries, you'll need to register an account on our Forgejo instance at https://git.owu.one . Then, head over to our [content repository](https://git.owu.one/starset-mirror/starset-wiki) and [submit a new issue](https://git.owu.one/starset-mirror/starset-wiki/issues/new/choose). When doing this, you can follow the prompts to select the "New Entry" issue template, which will help you organize your submission more efficiently.
As for the writing of specific entries, we plan to roll them out in batches. The first batch includes 30 entries covering band members, albums, and songs. We've already completed entries for the song "[Brave New World](https://starset.wiki/en/music/s5/brave-new-world)" and the [STARSET Toolkit Archive](https://starset.wiki/en/toolkit), a resource for fan-created content. Both are available in English and Traditional Chinese too. If you're interested in these entries, feel free to check them out and leave your feedback in the server or in the comment section of the pages.

We are launching a new Starset Society service: [Tss.Rocks](https://tss.rocks). If everything goes smoothly, this project will replace the previous Chinese mirror site of the Starset Society.
The original Chinese mirror site was built following the structure of the official site [thestarsetsociety.org](http://thestarsetsociety.org), using WordPress and the same theme. However, over the past few years, We've noticed that the official site hasn't been well-maintained. It suffered a malicious attack around two years ago (similar to the one the mirror site faced in 2020) and, post-recovery, only restored article publishing and reposting, without other elements like the custom theme, submission page, and related articles component. This made us feel that following the official site's design might not be the best approach anymore.
Additionally, developing with WordPress is beyond our current capabilities. We can only passively use existing themes and plugins as users. While WordPress offers an excellent writing and publishing experience, as a site inherently needing to repost and translate articles, we require additional plugins to reduce the manual maintenance burden. The current plugin setup doesn't fully meet our needs.
Other factors also contributed to the decision to move away from WordPress, such as the complexity of implementing natural bilingual support and the trademark and open-source contribution controversies surrounding the WordPress project itself, which we won't delve into here. **In summary, we aim to achieve more efficient content management with the new site and revitalize the translation support work for the Starset Society.**
